Filtel’s main goal has always been to contribute to our customers’ success. To us, this requires more than simply designing and building products. Contributing to a success story means that we are listening to our customers and generating new and credible ideas as a result.   Filtel consistently applies best engineering practices and executes in production to offer the highest innovation and quality in its products.
With the goal to give our customers an edge, we have instituted several developments in the past few years.   

1. Filtel (Suzhou) Co. Ltd. has been established in the latter part of 2006.  Located close to Shanghai, the commercial capital of mainland China, Filtel is uniquely situated to service both Asian and worldwide customers.  This 16,000 square foot operation has been certified to ISO 9001:2000 in February 2007. Filtel Suzhou is lead by General Manager, Marc Desjardins, who has many years managing technical operations in the high frequency telecommunications industry.   Filtel Suzhou currently employs a staff of over 50 energetic and highly trained individuals.  Our group of talented suppliers are helping to contribute to our success by providing cost-competitive products to spec.    Working hand-in-hand with our Montreal operation, this organization offers new and existing customers with added flexibility, greater capacity and innovative, low-cost products.
2. In the past year, we have expanded our facility to over 40,000 square feet and over 115 people in Montreal.  We have installed new CNC equipment, new assembly equipment, new PNA’s, while hiring more people and expanding our Assembly, Tuning, Machining operations, as well as increasing capacity in our Engineering department. We are well suited to demanding requirements set by satellite, military and telecommunications leaders.
3. In late 2006, Filtel restructured its Operations.  Denis Levesque, our new VP Operations has spearheaded work to improve the delivery of services to customers: improving the MRP system to more reliably set and meet target deliveries and increasing throughput capacity.
4. Although Filtel is a custom manufacturer, we have now completed more than 5,000 designs since inception.  This ensures that there is a body of experience to support most any job, whether it is a diplexer at 7/8GHz, a filter at Ku band or a Hot Standby Coupler at 38Ghz.
